Pizza shop fails to train young worker

Jennifer Fourchalk was 19 years old when she took a job working at a local pizzeria. She started as a waitress, but then moved to the kitchen. After the dough is prepped it goes into a kneading machine. Jennifer was never trained to operate this machine. It was assumed that it was simple to run. While trying to clean stuck dough off the roller, the drive chain pulled her hand into the gears resulting in the loss of three of her fingers. This accident was devastating to this young girl and her family. Both Jennifer and her mother discuss how a lack of training resulted in this tragic accident. The pizzeria ultimately settled with the family.
